I am Dave Bennett and the founder and owner of Second of Ten. We live in the “Free State of Florida.” I have been collecting firearms for over 40 years. My fascination with them began when I had the opportunity to work as an errand boy in a series of gun shows in and around Baltimore, Maryland, in the late 70s. It seemed the very moment I held my first World War II era 1911A1 pistol in my hands; I was hooked.
Since then, I have enjoyed learning and collecting a broad range of firearms and accessories. I have especially enjoyed sharing what I learned with others while actively engaging in several shooting sports.
As a result of my love for all things related to firearms, I decided to start a business around what was once a hobby. My father always told me, “Whatever you do in life, make sure it is something you are passionate about.” Thus, Second of Ten was born with the simple idea of preserving our 2nd Amendment heritage while helping others enjoy legal firearm ownership and collecting.
We believe our name Second of Ten says it all. We fully support the Second Amendment and the rights of Americans to own firearms for hunting, collecting, and personal defense. Further, as an Army Veteran, my family and I are also strong supporters of our country’s Military and Police, who put their lives on the line every day to defend our freedoms. We also put our money where our mouths are by financially supporting great organizations like Folds of Honor, Tunnel to Towers, and Wounded Warrior Project, to list a few.
